Daydream is a task-workspace experiment spanning desktop and smart-clock displays. It brings everyday task information into two very different viewing contexts: a screen used for focused work and a smaller display designed to be glanced at.

Two screens, different kinds of attention

A desktop task workspace has room for context. A clock-sized display asks for a tighter hierarchy and information that can be read quickly. Daydream brings those two contexts into the same product exploration.

The design question is how much information each surface needs, and how its presentation can remain calm and legible as the available space changes.

An ongoing product exploration

The live app requires sign-in. Its desktop and smart-clock contexts provide a way to explore how a task workspace can fit different parts of the day.

Desktop and small-display views are kept together here so the relationship between the two surfaces can be shown alongside the working experiment.
